Is it lame to round up some of my favorite wedding shoe images AND to share my most worn shoes in the same post? Maybe, but we’re going for it anyways 😉
BRIDAL SHOES
Wedding days are LONG – it’s a marathon, not a sprint. I recommend a block heel and a strap situation that’s secure. I also love seeing a shoe change for the reception! Team sparkly sneaker over here.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER SHOES
Like I said, we’re in full marathon mode on wedding days. I used to start the day in Rothy’s ballet flats and switch to sneakers during the reception, but I’ve since given up the appearance of anything other than practical + comfort. Kizik sneakers are my favorite for this. I have a gray leather pair that’s unobtrusive and easy to clean at the end of the day. I can go all day without needing to change!
TEACHER SHOES
I’m also big on sneakers for teaching, especially since I have lab days often and close-toed shoes are a big safety thing! Plus the youths of today are literally ONLY wearing sneakers. My most worn pairs are Veja, Kizik, and a Chloe-dupe from Target. I’ve also gotten a lot of mileage out of my platform Birkenstock clogs and a pair of woven metallic mules I’ve had for ages.
MOM SHOES
Have I said sneakers enough? Truly, my preferred shoe. I also wear birks all summer long – I have a white platform pair and a gold pair. I also really like Nisolo’s huarache sandal as an easy flat. And Sorel makes the most comfortable platform sandals ever – I teach in these as well!
